December Days...Daze?!?!

Well, we all know that December is a busy time, so why it shouldn’t it be for me as well!!!

The month got off to a rough start as we had to say good bye to our little Chinese Crested, Hairis, who became quite sick, quite fast and just didn’t have the strength to beat it. Jackie and I have been feeling a huge hole in our hearts and home left by this little guy! Very sad.

So, as they say, “when grieving, keep yourself busy!” With that in mind we got 2-time Juno Nominated painter,

Johnny Max, in to paint a couple of rooms in our house. If you’re looking for that kind of job, call him.

The gigs are also coming fast and furious. The Theodore Horner Combo – THC, continue to make Sunday's fun days at Orwell’s Pub! The folks there are so awesome and appreciative of the live music we’re providing! It’s a feel-good situation all around. We will be there every Sunday!

I’m really excited to be returning to Harry’s Pub on the Hamilton Beach!!I’ll be bringing some Solo Acoustic Mayhem there on Saturday, Dec. 11. Great local spot in a great location on Beach Blvd right by the Skyway!

Speaking of Solo Acoustic Mayhem; Merk Snack Bar on Ottawa St. N in Hamilton is where I’ll be on Thursday, Dec. 16 from 7-11. If you haven’t been to Merk yet, you’re in for a treat. They’ve great cocktails, local beers and an awesome tapas menu all in a really cool setting.

Finally, the big word is in!! My 14th Annual Food Drive will take place at Timothy’s Pub on Sunday, Dec. 19 from 5-9pm. I’m so happy to be able to bring this event back to Tim’s and to have full capacity available at the bar! Special guests will be announced soon, so stay tuned for more info on that. As in past years, I’ll be accepting non-perishable food items, gift cards and cash. ALL proceeds will go directly to the YWCA Women’s shelter in Hamilton. Please plan on being there and donate generously!
