Happy Spring...although the weather is fluctuating quite a bit still, the calendar says otherwise. So there you have it. Soon the patios will open and some gigs will move outside. That's always a treat!

In the meantime I'm working my rooms and planning some exciting things for the Summer. As mentioned in my last post, 'Celebrating Springsteen: Unplugged', is returning to the stage on October 2nd and 3rd at Drury Lane Theatre in Burlington. This 'Tribute that isn't a Tribute' features stories and songs from Springsteen's early years with a stellar trio featuring Matt Horner and John Johnson. The show is bound to leave you with some good memories and a smile on your face!

I'm also hoping to get working on a new CD project which will revisit songs from my previous releases and record them acoustically with minimal instrumentation. This may include some keys, upright bass and acoustic guitars. All my songs are written on acoustic, so this is a nice way to bring them back to their organic source.

To coincide with that I've reconnected with my old mate, Paul Mellor, who was my duo partner in our 90s group Soulmouth. We were signed to a publishing deal at that time and performed at several awesome Toronto venues including The Rivoli, Sneaky Dee's, El Mocambo and others. There may be a reunion show or 2 in the works! Paul, who hails from Manchester, is one of the diverse and dynamic guitarists around. Soulmouth was on a magical journey and it will be pretty special to do this comeback!! Stay tuned.

In the meantime, Solo Acoustic Mayhem continues to rock out on Fridays at Ottawa Steet Local in Hamilton where I play originals, take requests (even if I don't know them) and reimagine some covers. This has really grown into a fun night. If you're in the Hammer on s Friday drop by...6-9pm.

Finally, THC - The Theodore Horner Combo are now in our 5th year at The Legendary Canadiana! This has become such a fun way to close out the weekend. We've had several special guests who have dropped by to sit in, including Krista Blondin, Virgil Scott and Kevin Hearn among others. Occasionally, comedian Ronnie Edwards comes around to work the crowd with some great stand up!

So much going on...but, busy is good!
