8th Annual Food Drive

I can't believe it's been 8 years since I started this humble endeavor to help make the holidays better for those in need. I must say that I am more overwhelmed each year by the ever growing generosity shown by the friends and fans who come out to support this event. Not to mention the guests we've had over the years. Last year we needed 2 vehicles to transport all the food was donated!!

This year will be no exception as The Soul Purpose will once again play host to some star power. Joining Matt Horner, Rich Howse, Robbie Rox and myself will be our old friend, bassman, Michael P. Theodore (Paul James Band). Other confirmed guests include saxman extraordinaire and multiple award winner Johnny Johnson, 2 time Juno Nominee Johnny Max, Juno winner Dominic Mancuso, 4 Piece Trio Bassman Walter E. Lee and the super talented Johnny Porco Theodore on guitar. We are also planning on a few other special guests so be sure to check off December 13 on your calendar. The 8th Annual Food Drive will take place at The Shebeen (5555 Eglinton Ave. West) and kick off at 4pm. Call ahead to make a reservation as I know tables are already getting snatched up! 416 695 9178.

Some other cool things happening in Decemeber...

On Saturday, the 5th, I am returning to The Carrigan Arms (2025 Upper Middle Road, Burlington) as the special guest of The Sil Simone Band. Always a great time in this room and always great sounds with this band!!.

Friday the 11th, I'll be enjoying a slightly different kind of gig where I will be duet-ing with the one and only Krista Blondin at Roc'n Docs in Port Credit. Although Krista and I have done some work together recently this will mark the first time we're on stage performing since The Soul Reason Review!!

Finally, Saturday the 12th, Johnny Max, Tom Barlow and I will be doing some charity work on Port Credit street corners!!! I should clarify... we will singing songs for cash in different parts of Port Credit and collecting money for The Food Bank! Another great event for a great cause!

All this, along with my regularly scheduled dates listed on my calendar! December is always a busy month but it's all for the right reasons!!
