Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n Roll

Michael Theodore bio pic

Michael Theodore has carved a name for himself as an energetic performer and an extraordinary crowd pleaser in and around Toronto, Canada, over the past few years. A fixture on the local music scene, he has also ventured into the northern U.S. and recently performed several concerts in The Dominican Republic where a follow up tour is pending.

The hype and recognition is well warranted!

This talented and dynamic vocalist uses his background in theatre (he's a graduate of the John Abbott College, Theatre Program, Montreal) and his comfort on stage to take his audiences on a musical journey in which he is the conductor. Combining an eclectic taste of musical styles and a quick wit, Michael entices his crowd with a repertoire of more than 200 songs, spanning over 40 years. His own songs, however, have quickly become the fan-favourites! A songwriter with a sensitive heart, Michael brings passion to his music, whether performing as a solo artist or with his band. He has attracted many accomplished and acclaimed musicians to accompany him live, several of whom can be savoured performing on his new debut CD, 'The Truth About Love And Tragedy' (Don Garbutt, producer). Keyboard legend Richard Bell (The Band) is featured on the track, 'I Just Love You Too Much', while Michael Fonfara (Downchild Blues Band & Lou Reed) performs his magic on the Hammond.

In October 2001, the Canadian Musicians For Liberty (CMFL), a fundraising group of Canadian artists, broke 3 Guiness Book Of Records during an event to collect funds for Canada's 911 emergency services. Michael Burgess, Alan Frew, Patti Jannetta and others joined Michael in the studio to record the theme song 'Live To Love' from their compilation CD. Michael's own contribution, 'So Damn Easy', is an intriguing song that examines the need to find happiness from within!

A natural entertainer from childhood, Michael's introspective song writing, along with his captivating stage presence create an intimate and honest rapport with his audience. His songs are a testimony to his love of performance and his integrity as an artist, while his sincere demeanour between songs offers a true love affair with his many fans. Michael gives 'it' his all… and then some, every song, every show, every night!!

The hype? The recognition?

Yes, it is definitely well warranted!!!
